How can I train to run a 15k?
I run 3 miles at present no problem, but I've never run further than that. I did 5-km race and now I try to do a 15k, but I do not know how often, how long I have to train before the race. Long distance Experts know?
I ran long distance in the primary and secondary schools and the 5k in a few years. The best training I can think is to start issuing its three miles every day. Then, every week or every two days, try running a little longer. If it becomes too difficult, you can always take a step back for a while until you feel comfortable running so far. Only increase as you feel comfortable to 15k which is about ten miles. You should probably start training at least a month or two before the race.
